Ukrainian soldiers take part in Maple Arch 2017 exercises in Poland

The military of the Ukrainian Armed Forces participate in multinational command and staff exercises Maple Arch 2017 in Poland, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has reported.

"The opening ceremony for multinational command and staff exercises Maple Arch 2017 took place at the Land Forces Training Area in Deba, the Republic of Poland, with the participation of more than 460 servicemen of the armed forces of Ukraine, Canada, Poland and Lithuania... In addition to the national personnel of the LitPolUkrBrig command, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are represented in this year's Maple Arch drills by servicemen of the 80th and 95th separate assault brigades, the command of the Airmobile Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the statement reads.

During the ceremony, the state flags of the participating countries were raised, and the national anthems of Poland, Canada, Lithuania and Ukraine were performed.

The exercises will be held on November 5-6 with the use of simulation tools involving multinational staff of battalions and the company.
