Brother of Sylvestr Stallone hands over lot for Viennese Ball, plans to visit Ukraine

American singer and musician Frank Stallone, a brother of famous Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, has accepted the invitation of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko to visit Ukraine and handed over a lot for the Charity Viennese Ball to be held in Kyiv.

An Ukrinform correspondent learnt this from the Charity Viennese Ball organizer Maryna Ihnatusha, who gave the musician a symbolic invitation from Klitschko during the meeting in the USA.

"I’ve heard a lot of good things about Ukraine and met many wonderful Ukrainians. I hope to visit Ukraine. I would be glad to personally meet with Vitali Klitschko. He is the champion and the man of action," Frank Stallone said.

The Stallone family has Ukrainian roots: the great-grandmother of Frank and Sylvester was born in Odesa.

As reported, the Charity Viennese Ball will be held in Kyiv on October 27-28 with the support of the Kyiv City State Administration, the Vienna City Hall, the Vienna Ballroom Committee, the Ukrainian-Austrian Association and a number of international organizations, as well as the Ukrainian American community. The funds raised during the charity auction will be directed to the development of the capital's rehabilitation center for children with disabilities.
