A three-meter-high monument to a walnut was erected in the village of Voloske, in Dnipropetrovsk region.

Village headman Andriy Pinchuk wrote this on his Facebook page.

"A monument to a walnut was unveiled in the Ukrainian capital of walnuts, the village of Voloske. The monument of impact resistant fiberglass is three meters high," Pinchuk wrote.

The decision to establish an unusual sculptural composition was made by the villagers at the public hearings. People decided in such a way to pay respects to their “breadwinner" as the entire walnut gardens grow in this area.
