Seven parties could win seats on parliament - poll

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and his political party would have won the elections if they were held in the near future, according to a survey conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from October 6 to October 11, 2017, which was obtained by Ukrinform.

"If parliamentary elections were held in the near future, the following political forces would have received the most votes - the Petro Poroshenko Bloc's Solidarity Party (13.6% among those who intend to take part in the elections), Batkivshchyna (10%), Civil Position Party (8.9%), and Opposition Bloc Party (8.6%). Some 6.8% of respondents who intend to take part in the elections are ready to vote for the Political Party 'For Life,' 6.5% for Oleh Liashko's Radical Party, 5.9% for Samopomich Union, and 4.2% for the Union of Right-Wing Parties (Svoboda, Right Sector, National Corps)," the study shows.

As for other political forces, they would have garnered less than 3% of the vote each.

"If presidential elections were held in the near future, the greatest electoral support in the first round of elections would have been received by Petro Poroshenko (14% among those who intend to take part in the elections), Yulia Tymoshenko (8.4%), Anatoliy Hrytsenko (7.2%), Yuriy Boiko (6.8%), Sviatoslav Vakarchuk (6.6%), and Oleh Liashko (6.3%). Some 5.9% of election participants are ready to vote for Vadym Rabinovych, 4.1% for Volodymyr Groysman, 4% for Andriy Sadovy, 3% for Oleh Tiahnybok, 2% for Vitali Klitschko, 1.4% for Arseniy Yatseniuk, 1.4% for Petro Symonenko, 1.1% for Dmytro Yarosh, and 0.8% for Nadia Savchenko," reads the survey.

A total of 2,018 respondents aged over 18 were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, except for Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The poll's margin of error (excluding design effect) does not exceed 2.3%, with a probability of 0.95.
