Ukrainian border guards have seized on the administrative border with Crimea two books on "History of Peter the Great" of the 19th century, which a car passenger tried to bring into the occupied peninsula, according to the Ukrainian State Border Service.

"When inspecting a Skoda Octavia car at the Chonhar among checkpoint, border guards of the Berdiansk detachment and representatives of the fiscal service found in the personal belongings of a car passenger two books on 'History of Peter the Great,' published in 1882. A 29-year-old citizen of Ukraine, a resident of Donetsk region, tried to smuggle into the occupied peninsular the old books that may constitute historical or cultural value," the service reported.
