President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has taken part in opening of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes star on the Avenue of Stars near the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
"This star means that Ukraine is important to Europe, Ukraine is important to Strasbourg, Ukraine is important to the Council of Europe," the President said, an Ukrinform own correspondent reports.
He stressed that opening of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes star in Strasbourg is a symbol of "the return of our great nation to the European family."
The ceremony was attended by family members of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, participants in the anti-terrorist operation and members of the Ukrainian community in France.
