Government to allocate UAH 500 mln for Ukrainian films - PM

About UAH 4 billion is to be allocated next year for the development of Ukrainian culture, including UAH 500 million for cinematography, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said in an exclusive interview with Ukrinform.

"We will definitely support Ukrainian culture, therefore, we increased spending on cultural development in 2018 to UAH 4.1 billion. In particular, we plan to allocate UAH 500 million for national cinematography. The process has already been launched this year, and everyone made sure that we can shoot high-quality Ukrainian films," he said.

As Ukrinform reported, on September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law on the state budget for 2018 and submitted the document for consideration by parliament.
