Over 30,000 pilgrims from 12 countries have arrived in Uman, Cherkasy region, to celebrate the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah).

The main events in the city are held at the tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. During the holidays, more than 500 police officers are maintaining law and order in the city.

"Fifteen police officers from the State of Israel are working together with their Ukrainian colleagues in Uman," the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported.
