On September 6, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy will take part in the international conference "Europe of the Carpathians" in Krynica-Zdrój, the Republic of Poland, in order to discuss the current problems of the Carpathian region.

This was reported by the press office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The conference "Europe of the Carpathians" was founded in 2010 by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. It is a platform for meetings and discussions between parliamentarians, representatives of governments, local governments and non-governmental organizations of the states of the Carpathian Convention (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine) to discuss the current problems of the Carpathian region, identify ways to address them, and prepare conclusions and proposals for enhancing cooperation and implementing joint initiatives in this area for their further submission for consideration of their governments.
