First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko, who visited Donbas on August 19, informed this on her Facebook page.
"Schools in Avdiivka are ready for September 1," she wrote.
Gerashchenko recalled that there were seven schools where more than 2,700 children studied and seven kindergartens for 1,300 kids in Avdiivka before the beginning of hostilities, and now there are five schools and four kindergartens in the town.
The first vice speaker stressed that the local authorities in Avdiivka considered social issues their priority and UAH 3.5 million was allocated for repair of schools and kindergartens.
