Number of unemployed in Ukraine decreased by 14% for a year - State Statistics Service

As of August 1, 2017, the number of unemployed persons in Ukraine decreased by 14% compared to the same period of 2016.
This is said in the analytical note on the website of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
"Due to improving the effectiveness of the work on operational employment of citizens, the number of unemployed persons as of August 1, 2017 compared to the same period of 2016 decreased by 14% (by 50,000) and amounted to 320,000," the report said.
Noted that as of August 1, 2017, the number of vacancies declared by employers in the state employment service increased by 54% compared to the same period of 2016 and amounted to 65,000.
