Today, August 16, the relatives of severely ill patients, who need treatment abroad, have submitted a letter to Ukrainian Prime Minister Groysman asking to help patients, who cannot be administered aid in Ukraine, undergo treatment in foreign clinics.

"We demand to find a possibility in the Finance Ministry and ask the Prime Minister to personally intervene in the situation and cover the treatment of seriously ill patients from the reserve fund. According to our calculations, UAH 250-300 million is needed to treat patients who are waiting in the line now," member of the initiative group Yuriy Andreev said during the Give Chance to Survive action, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the activist, the Health Ministry asked the Parliament to provide UAH 420 million for these purposes during the adoption of the budget amendments. However, the sum was reduced to UAH 186 million. Those funds were enough to provide guarantees of payment for treatment of 47 patients. According to Andreev, a total of 119 patients are in the waiting line for treatment now.
