Health Ministry to send 47 seriously ill Ukrainians for treatment abroad

The Commission of the Health Ministry has decided to send 47 seriously ill patients from Ukraine for treatment to foreign hospitals.

This was reported by the press service of the Health Ministry.

"On Monday, August 7, the Health Ministry of Ukraine received from the Finance Ministry of Ukraine approval of changes to the passport of the budget program "Treatment of Ukrainian citizens abroad" regarding the allocation of additional UAH 186 million. On the same day, a meeting of the Commission of the Health Ministry of Ukraine on the issue of treatment abroad was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Health Minister Oleksandr Lynchevsky. The members of the commission decided to send 47 patients for treatment abroad," the statement reads.

In 2017, more than UAH 203 million was allocated from the state budget for the program "Treatment of Ukrainian citizens abroad", 74 people were sent for treatment abroad, including 34 children.
