Tourist flow to Kyiv grows by 25.8% over two years

The number of foreign tourists who visited the city of Kyiv during the period from 2015 to 2016 increased by 25.8%.

Head of the Department of Tourism of Kyiv City State Administration Anton Taranenko said this during a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Such growth rates are very important for us, and we can say that now tourism as an integral part of the city's economy is a priority of the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv administration," Taranenko said.

He added that 1.2 million people had already visited Kyiv in the first half of 2017. According to Taranenko's forecasts, this year the tourist flow to the capital of Ukraine may increase by 30-40% compared to 2016.
