Protest moods are growing among residents of the occupied town of Sedove in Novoazovsk district, Donetsk region, because of the actions of militants, the head of the Information Resistance group, Dmytro Tymchuk, has said on Facebook.

"The level of protest sentiments among the local population is growing in the town of Sedove in Novoazovsk district, Donetsk region, which is caused by the criminal activities of a militant nicknamed 'Semen' who, with a group of Russian mercenaries, arrived at the town in late July on the orders of 'DPR' head [Alexander] Zakharchenko as 'enforcer,'" Tymchuk wrote.

According to the Information Resistance group, the Semen gang, under the pretext of "strengthening the DPR government," is engaged in extortion and looting the local population.

"The Semen group is actively engaged in extortion, detention of locals under various pretexts, using torture and appropriating property of citizens. The 'official' version of the group is 'strengthening the power of DPR' and the 'fight against Ukrainian agents and saboteurs,'" the report says.
