Honey festival starts in Ivano-Frankivsk

The international festival Honey of Prykarpattia has started in Ivano-Frankivsk city in western Ukraine. Beekeepers present only certified products.

Co-organizer of the festival, chairman of the Union of Beekeepers of Ivano-Frankivsk region Ivan Yusko said this in a commentary to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Yusko stressed that guests from Poland and Lithuania had also come to the festival.

The Honey of Prykarpattia festival will be held for two days. Apart from the honey fair, the festival’s program provides for conduct of wax candles making master classes, presentation of cosmetics and conduct of workshops on the types and quality of honey. The purpose of the festival is to popularize the healthy eating habits and the profession of a beekeeper.
