Executive Director of the Institute of Mass Information Oksana Romaniuk said this during the International Conference "Reintegration of Donbas amid Hybrid War", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"As for the scenario for the occupied Donbas, the majority of residents still support reintegration with Ukraine, 34% of citizens believe that Donbas should be returned. Many people support different options for autonomy and only 2%, that is, at the level of statistical error, support integration into Russia," she said.
In addition, according to the Executive Director of the IMI, 86% of residents of the southern and eastern regions said that they consider themselves to be Ukrainians, the citizens of Ukraine, and 86% of respondents feel comfortable when they write or receive information in the Ukrainian language.
Romaniuk added that the poll was conducted from February to March of this year in the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine, including the occupied territories.
