Bohdan Lyzohub, the Chief of Staff for Security Coordination during the preparation and holding of Eurovision-2017 in Ukraine, said this at a briefing on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Of course, we are preparing for any course of events in Kyiv during the Eurovision Song Contest, considering any options and being ready to respond to them, and we are also working to prevent negative events. For this purpose, we carry out corresponding exercises. The tactical exercises of the security officials have been already held regarding security protection of Eurovision participants and guests [April 8 in Boryspil]. Next week, we plan to hold tactical and special training to work out security issues and all possible risks at Eurovision in Kyiv," he said.
Lyzohub has noted that now all law enforcement agencies are taking necessary measures to ensure that the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine is safe for the contest guests and for members of foreign delegations.
