He stated this during Government Question Hour meeting held in the Verkhovna Rada today, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of today, 3, 025,129 citizens have received biometric documents for traveling abroad," he said.
According to him, the issuance of biometric passports started in January 2017.
Sokoliuk also noted that every day more than 10 thousand Ukrainian citizens receive new biometric passports for traveling abroad and "the demand is growing”.
