Ukraine, the United States to avoid information risks using system of strategic communications – Information Policy Ministry

This has been reported by the Information Policy Ministry on its website on Tuesday.

"February 10, 2017, a meeting of Information Policy Minister of Ukraine Yurii Stets and U.S. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch took place... The parties agreed to maintain close communication in order to speak with one voice, avoiding information risks that may arise between countries," reads a statement.

Yurii Stets during the meeting said that "the Information Policy Ministry is now building both internal and external system of strategic communications."

"In this process, it is important for us to ensure proper working conditions for the media in order not to violate freedom of expression and to create safe working conditions for journalists," he said.

In turn, Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch said that "the strategic communication is also a priority area for the U.S., because we believe that high-quality communication between business and culture, and the public in general, has the potential to counter internal and external challenges".
