Kyiv to allocate 200 mln for hosting Eurovision Song Contest

Kyiv authorities will allocate UAH 200 million for hosting Eurovision Song Contest in 2017. 

Chairman of the Kyiv City Council’s standing committee for budget issues and the socio-economic development Andriy Strannikov said this at the briefing in the Kyiv City Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"UAH 50 million is planned to be allocated for hosting Eurovision this year. Our commitment to the Government and international partners is guaranteed allocation of approximately UAH 200 million from the city budget. UAH 50 million is planned to be allocated this year and UAH 150 million is to be allocated next year," Strannikov added.
