The first monument to veterinary in Ukraine was unveiled at the campus of the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine in Lviv on August 29.
This is reported by Zaxid.net online media outlet.
"The composition has three main elements: a horse, as a veterinary’s patient, a veterinary standing next to it and giving it the medicine in a bowl. It is a tribute of gratitude to all veterinaries who have been working in Lviv since 1784 and preparing the veterinaries," the University press service noted.
The authors of the monument are Lviv sculptor Yulian Savko and architect Ivan Tymchyshyn.
