Register of Ukrainian internally displaced persons launched

The Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine has launched the unified register of internally displaced persons in a test mode on August 1.
This has been announced by the Ministry’s press service.
"Every single body of social protection at the administrative-territorial unit had its own register. They worked independently, making it impossible to find out the overall number of internally displaced persons, their location, the actual state of payments, etc.," the statement reads.
It is noted that the register was earlier limited to regional formats.
"The unified register of internally displaced persons aims to provide electronic information exchange between the Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine, citizens, volunteers, and organizations dealing with the settlement of problems of internally displaced persons in Ukraine," the press service reported.
