Eurovision-2017: Organizers held first meeting

The first working meeting with the participation of representatives of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the National Television Company of Ukraine (NTCU) was held on June 2 to discuss issues regarding holding the Eurovision Song Contests 2017 in Ukraine, the press service of Pershyi.UA TV channel reports.

“Participants in the meeting discussed the main aspects of the organization of the song contest next year in Ukraine, particularly, the basic requirements for holding [the event], financial aspects, a supervisory agency, competition between cities [to host it], requirements for the stage, etc.,” reads the report.

Participants included Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand and EBU's Media Director Jean Philip De Tender; NTCU Director General Zurab Alasaniya, NTCU First Deputy Director Viktoria Romanova, NTCU Deputy Director General on Financial Issues Hanna Bychok. Singer Jamala earned Ukraine the right to stage the contest by winning Eurovision-2016 with the song "1944" last month.
