Payments to almost 90,000 IDPs suspended in Kharkiv region

The social payments to over 88,000 internally displaced persons from Donetsk and Luhansk regions, who have received asylum in Kharkiv region, have been suspended due the amendments to the relevant legislation.
This was announced by director of the social protection department of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yuri Shparaha at the press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The social benefits are not canceled but suspended for the time of checking the status of the displaced persons and their place of residence at a specific address. The relevant actions are following the fact that the Security Service of Ukraine has revealed numerous scams in this field,” Shparaha said.
