Sikorski hopes Ukraine not to need military support
This was stated by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman at the joint briefing with Chairman of the lower chamber of the Polish Parliament Radoslaw Sikorski in Warsaw, an Ukrinform correspondent reported from Poland.
"We see that the Russian Federation only pretends that it wants to implement the Minsk agreements. Therefore, we should work together, the whole civilized world should demand that the Russian party implement these agreements," Hroisman said.
In turn, Sikorski noted that Poland supported the process of Ukraine's rapprochement with Europe.
He recalled that Foreign Minister of Poland Grzegorz Schetyna recently stated that Poland would provide military support to Ukraine if the separatists failed to fulfill the Minsk II.
"This is very important statement, but I hope its implementation will not be needed," Sikorski summed up.
