Ukraine’s MFA launches 24/7 broadcast to rebut Orbán’s statements
This was announced by the spokesperson for Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry, Heorhii Tykhyi, on the social media platform X, Ukrinform reports.
“Every day, Hungarian officials are making absurd statements about Ukraine. We are tired of reacting to each one and decided to post our position online in a form of a radio, accessible 24/7. We call it ‘Hungarian Radio Ukraine’,” the diplomat said.
The broadcast, available in Hungarian, Ukrainian, and English, features a statement emphasizing that Kyiv rejects the manipulations about Ukraine regularly voiced by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his team.
“We condemn his consistent attempts to drag Ukraine into his domestic politics or electoral campaign. Ukraine has never meant and does not mean any harm to neighboring Hungary. We ask all Hungarians not to trust the toxic anti-Ukrainian propaganda coming from officials on a daily basis. We are doomed to be good neighbors, members of the EU and NATO, not the ‘Russian world.’ Thank you for listening to the ‘Hungarian Radio of Ukraine’,” the statement says.
As reported by Ukrinform, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who is running for re-election, has once again claimed that Ukraine is allegedly interfering in his country’s internal affairs and has criticized the Ukrainian authorities and President Volodymyr Zelensky.
