Zelensky on energy ceasefire: If Russians stop strikes, response can be mirrored
He stated this while speaking to journalists at the "Bucha Summit 2026," according to Ukrinform.
"If they strike us, we will respond. If they agree to stop attacks on energy infrastructure, our response will be mirrored," Zelensky said.
At the same time, he noted that there have been no signals from the Russian side about a possible energy ceasefire. "At least, we have not received any," the President said.
As Ukrinform reported, Russia continues attacks on civilian cities in Ukraine. In particular, in Poltava, a Russian attack on the night of March 31 killed one person and injured four others, including two children. Preliminary reports indicate damage to 14 sites, including 10 apartment buildings, a vocational technical school, and private homes. Over 400 windows were shattered. Business properties were also damaged, with private company buildings destroyed and signs broken. Additionally, private homes were damaged by the blast wave in another district of the community.
