Umerov in Gulf region holds further talks with partners
According to Ukrinform, the NSDC reported this on Facebook.
The NSDC continues its systematic work to expand Ukraine's security partnerships in the Middle East.
"Ukraine has already achieved important results – strategic agreements have been concluded with Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Teams are finalizing agreements with the United Arab Emirates on security cooperation. Active work is ongoing with Jordan and Kuwait," the statement said.
As noted by the NSDC, Ukraine has already taken an important step by sharing unique expertise in protecting civilians and critical infrastructure.
This includes comprehensive solutions – from interceptors to building full-scale defense lines, as well as software and electronic warfare systems. This approach is shaping a new quality of partnership.
At the same time, a new model of cooperation is being developed – long-term, decade-long agreements in the field of security and MilTech, that provides joint technology development, investments, and mutual strengthening of capabilities.
Cooperation in the Gulf region is mutually beneficial: Ukraine shares practical experience of modern warfare while also developing its own capabilities, particularly in countering ballistic threats and ensuring energy resilience.
"This is a historic level of interaction for Ukraine in the region. The agreements provide for the creation of full-fledged security systems together with partners – with clear legal frameworks and long-term commitments," the NSDC emphasized.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has reached "historic agreements" with Gulf countries on security cooperation, including strengthening air defense and developing the defense industry.
