He stated that the European delegation led by Kallas arrived in the Ukrainian capital ahead of the anniversary of the tragedy in Bucha, which occurred at the start of the full-scale invasion.
“Such a strong European presence on this day demonstrates that justice for this and other Russian atrocities is inevitable. Comprehensive accountability for Russian crimes is vital to restore justice in Europe. And today, we will advance accountability efforts,” the foreign minister emphasized.
He noted that these days also mark four years since Ukraine began liberating the Kyiv region and other territories occupied by Russia in 2022. Sybiha emphasized that this serves as a reminder of the heroism of Ukrainian defenders.
“Ukraine knows how to win. This visit is a sign of true bravery and solidarity with Ukraine. I am grateful to HRVP Kaja Kallas and all European colleagues who came to Ukraine today,” Sybiha added.
As reported by Ukrinform, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas believes that ending the war in Ukraine requires concessions from Russia and joint pressure on the Russian Federation from the U.S. and Europe.
