The British Foreign Office criticized Russia’s decision to expel a British diplomat on suspicion of “spying.”
According to Ukrinform, Sky News reported this.
"The accusations made today by Russia against our diplomats are completely unacceptable,” a Foreign Office spokesperson said
He emphasized that Russia is conducting an increasingly aggressive and coordinated campaign of persecution against British diplomats, making completely baseless accusations regarding their work.
The UK will not tolerate intimidation of British embassy staff and their families, the spokesperson stressed.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russia is expelling Jance Gerardus, the second secretary of the British Embassy in Moscow, on suspicion of conducting “intelligence activities.”
