EU not interested in energy deals with Russia – Kallas

Ukrinform
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated that she does not see any desire among the bloc’s countries to conclude agreements with Russia regarding energy, even “behind closed doors.”

She said this in an interview with Reuters, Ukrinform reports.

“I've been behind those closed doors and I don't see this appetite. And when we talk to Russia, of course, the most important thing is to first agree what we want to talk to them about,” Kallas said.

According to her, if we go back to “business as usual”, “we will have more wars.”

“We have seen this before. So we have to be very vigilant and not actually give Russia what they want, because their appetite will only grow,” Kallas added.
