Kyiv City Council approves energy sustainability plan for capital
This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“The Kyiv City Council approved a plan for the capital's energy security at an extraordinary meeting. The decision was supported by 92 deputies,” Klitschko wrote.
He noted that in order to implement the measures envisaged in the plan, in particular those necessary for the start of the next heating season, Kyiv “definitely needs the support of the state”: “In financing, in assistance with equipment and other resources.”
At the same time, the mayor stressed the need to improve the legislative framework and regulatory documentation “to minimize the time required for bureaucratic procedures and make the work as efficient as possible so that the capital can get through the next winter.”
As reported, on March 3, the President held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, at which sustainability plans were approved for all regions and regional cities, except Kyiv. The capital's authorities were given an additional week to finalize the city's sustainability plan.
