Iran confirms military cooperation with Russia amid Middle East conflict
He said this in an interview with NBC News, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Cooperation between Iran and Russia is not something new, it’s not a secret,” Araghchi said.
However, he avoided answering whether Russia provided intelligence to Iran for its attacks. “They are helping us in many different directions. I don’t have any detailed information,” he added.
According to The Times of Israel, Araghchi assured that Iran’s government continues to manage the country and “everything is in its place.”
He also rejected US President Donald Trump’s claim that he would decide who the next leader of Iran will be. “We allow nobody to interfere with our domestic affairs,” said Araghchi.
As reported, on February 28, the US and Israel carried out joint strikes on Iranian regime targets. Following this, Iran attacked American bases in Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan.
Later, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) confirmed that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, died in the morning of February 28.
