Zelensky discusses situation in Middle East with Crown Prince of Kuwait
The head of state reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform informs.
"We discussed security challenges in the Middle East and the Gulf region with the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. His Highness provided detailed information on the Iranian regime's criminal strikes against Kuwait: hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles have already been used," Zelensky noted.
He stressed that it was precisely this instrument of terror that Iran had transferred to Russia to kill Ukrainians, and that the Ukrainian people know well how to counter such threats.
"We explored how our experience can help protect lives in Kuwait and agreed to hold the relevant consultations. I thank His Highness for his words of support," he concluded.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky previously held talks with Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa regarding the situation in the region and the threats posed by Iranian missile and drone strikes.
On February 28, the United States and Israel carried out joint strikes on regime facilities in Iran. Following this, Iran attacked American bases in Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan.
On the same day, an Iranian strike drone attacked the international airport in Kuwait, injuring several employees.
