Zelensky on meeting with Fico: Slovak PM agrees to come to Ukraine
Zelensky stated this while speaking with journalists, Ukrinform reports.
"Regarding Prime Minister Fico. We had a conversation with him. We agreed on a meeting. I invited him to Ukraine. He agreed to come to Ukraine," he said.
Zelensky noted that he was surprised by subsequent statements from the Slovak side suggesting a willingness to meet in other countries.
"I didn't quite understand the reaction later, that we are ready to meet in other countries. I think that is wrong. First, the Prime Minister agreed to come to Ukraine, and second, the oil products are here, so why should we go elsewhere," he said.
Zelensky added that such misunderstandings have happened before and emphasized: "We shouldn't communicate via social media, but simply come and achieve results from our meeting."
As Ukrinform previously reported, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said he is ready to meet with the President of Ukraine regarding oil transit, but suggested holding it in a third country.
