Rada reinstates EU-Ukraine agreement on scientific and technological cooperation
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, the legislative initiative was supported by 241 lawmakers.
The bill provides for restoring the validity of the Ukraine-EU agreement on scientific and technological cooperation of July 4, 2002, whose term expired on November 8, 2024.
The agreement serves as the legal basis for cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of scientific and technological research, enabling the expansion and strengthening of collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The document is an important legal foundation for implementing, strengthening, and deepening cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in science, technology, research, and innovation.
Implementing the provisions of the agreement will facilitate the integration of Ukraine's research and innovation ecosystem into the European Research Area, help preserve Ukraine's scientific potential, and attract investment.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada ratified an agreement between Ukraine and Canada on the mutual protection of classified information.
