Denmark allocates more than €25M in humanitarian aid to Ukraine

The press service of Denmark's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated this on its website, Ukrinform reports.

"Ukrainians are currently enduring an extremely cold winter, and Putin is cynically exploiting the cold to his tactical advantage by carrying out systematic attacks on energy infrastructure and civilian supplies. Therefore, Denmark is providing new humanitarian assistance worth DKK 190 million to help address the acute humanitarian situation and ensure long-term support. It is meant to give hope to those who have suffered the most," Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen emphasized.

The funds will be channeled through Danish civil society aid organizations, the UN Humanitarian Fund in Ukraine, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNICEF, and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

With this new contribution, Denmark has provided approximately DKK 1.3 billion in humanitarian aid since the beginning of the war.

As Ukrinform reported, the UK government, marking the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, announced a new package of military and humanitarian support.
