Advisors on security issues from European leaders have also arrived in Geneva, where trilateral talks between the delegations of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia are taking place today. However, they are not directly present in the negotiation room.

Serhii Leshchenko, an advisor at the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this on Ukrainian television.

"Advisors from those European governments that are our key allies are also present in Geneva. Their presence serves our interests because we have always said that Europe must be at the negotiating table. This is the position of Volodymyr Zelensky, since Ukraine's path to the European Union is irreversible – it is beneficial both for Ukraine and for the European Union," Leshchenko said.

According to him, although advisors from key European countries are not physically in the negotiation room, they remain in constant contact with the participants in the talks.

"The [security] advisors of the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom must be aware of the progress of the negotiations. If not in the [negotiation] room, then in constant communication," Leshchenko said.

He also stressed that the negotiations are being held behind closed doors.

As reported earlier, a new round of trilateral talks involving representatives of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia has begun today in Geneva. The Ukrainian delegation has a framework approved by the Ukrainian president and a clear mandate.

It was also reported that ahead of the new round of trilateral negotiations in Geneva, U.S. President Donald Trump said that Ukraine should "better come to the table fast."
