Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk spoke about Russia’s systematic war crimes at the 20th Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.

This was reported by Stefanchuk on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“Cold, darkness, and silence without electricity – this is what Russia uses as a weapon today. At the 20th Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast in Washington, I emphasized that the destruction of energy infrastructure during extreme cold is deliberate terror against civilians, not a military tactic,” Stefanchuk said.

He described Russia’s systematic war crimes – attacks on peaceful cities, killings of children, executions of prisoners of war, abductions of Ukrainian children, and attempts to break society through fear and cold.

“We see a direct historical parallel with the Holodomor: then and now, the method is the same – destruction by depriving people of basic conditions for life,” Stefanchuk stressed.

He also expressed gratitude for bipartisan support for Ukraine, including aid, weapons, and prayers.

“Solidarity and shared values remain the response to evil that does not change,” Stefanchuk emphasized.
