Zelensky appoints Luhovskyi as acting head of Foreign Intelligence Service

President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Oleh Luhovskyi as the temporary acting head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.

The relevant decree No. 100/2026 was published on the website of the President of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

The document states: "The First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleh Vasylovych Luhovskyi, shall temporarily perform the duties of the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine."

As previously reported, on January 2, by decrees No. 6/2026 and No. 7/2026, Zelensky dismissed Oleh Ivashchenko from the position of Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service and appointed him Head of the Defence Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
