Ukraine invited to join 'Board of Peace' – Zelensky

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, the head of state said this while speaking with journalists in response to a question about whether Ukraine had received an invitation to join U.S. President Donald Trump's "Board of Peace."

"We have received the invitation. Diplomats are working on this invitation," he said.

At the same time, Zelensky noted that he cannot imagine how Ukraine could cooperate within one body together with Russia and Belarus.

"Russia is our enemy, Belarus is their ally. For now, it is very difficult for me to imagine how we and Russia could be together in one or another board. And this is not about this board of peace in particular. It is simply that Russia is about a board of war. And Belarus is together with them, namely the Lukashenko regime," he added.

As reported, U.S. President Donald Trump initiated the creation of the "Board of Peace." According to Bloomberg, the U.S. administration is proposing that countries seeking a permanent seat on the "Board of Peace," which would deal not only with the Gaza sector, pay at least $1 billion for participation.

So far, the United States has invited more than 40 countries to join the board, including Belarus and Russia.
