Court starts hearing on selection of preventive measure for Tymoshenko

Tymoshenko is in the courtroom with her lawyers and the prosecution's representatives.
The judge in the case is Vitalii Dubas.
Prosecutors intend to request a preventive measure for Tymoshenko in the form of a bail of 50 million hryvnia.
Before the hearing began, Tymoshenko stated that “no crime has been committed” and that “no preventive measures can be taken.”
As reported by Ukrinform, on January 13, NABU and SAPO announced that they had exposed the leader of one of the factions for attempting to bribe deputies to vote “correctly” for or against specific bills.
On January 14, Tymoshenko confirmed that searches were conducted at the Batkivshchyna party's office. She rejected all accusations.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported suspicions against the leader of one of the Verkhovna Rada factions of offering illegal benefits to MPs.
