Tymoshenko confirms searches at Batkivshchyna party office, rejects accusations

According to Tymoshenko, "so-called 'urgent investigative actions' that lasted all night have just ended at the Batkivshchyna party office. 'Urgent investigative actions' that have nothing whatsoever to do with law or justice."
As Tymoshenko reported, more than 30 men, "without presenting any documents, effectively seized the building and took employees hostage."
"The last time stormtroopers burst in on us like this was during the Revolution of Dignity under Yanukovych. But back then, they at least covered their invasion with some piece of paper from the Pechersk District Court… This time there was not even that. Only loud public statements on the internet without any evidence. The search was a grand PR stunt," she noted.
"They found nothing, and therefore simply took my work phones, parliamentary documents, and personal savings, information about which is fully reflected in my official declaration," Tymoshenko said.
"I categorically reject all absurd accusations," she emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, on January 13 the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) stated that they had exposed the head of one parliamentary faction for attempting to bribe lawmakers for "the right" voting for or against specific draft laws.
