US President Donald Trump said that his powers as commander-in-chief are limited only by his “own morality” and that he doesn't need international law.

The White House head said this in an interview with the NYT, according to Ukrinform.

When asked if there were any limits to his global powers, Trump replied: “Yes, there is one thing. My own morality. Only my own mind can stop me I don’t need international law. I’m not looking to hurt people.”

When asked if his administration should comply with international law, Trump said “yes,” but added that it “depends on what your definition of international law is.”

As reported by Ukrinform, on January 3, the US military conducted a raid in Venezuela and detained the leader, Nicolas Maduro, and his wife, who face federal charges, including conspiracy to commit narco-terrorism.
