Umerov reports on results of Coalition of Willing meeting
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov on Telegram.
"We discussed in detail the parameters of security guarantees, Ukraine's role in the architecture of future peace, and the contribution of partners in deterring renewed aggression. There is a common understanding of the key elements: deterrence forces, effective monitoring, and support for the Ukrainian army as the foundation of the entire security system," Umerov emphasized.
According to him, important documents were signed following the meeting: a joint declaration by all countries of the “Coalition of the Willing” “On reliable security guarantees for a strong and lasting peace in Ukraine,” as well as a trilateral declaration by Ukraine, France, and the United Kingdom, which sets out intentions to deploy multinational forces after the ceasefire, create a coordination center between armies, and establish monitoring mechanisms with a key role for the US and the participation of European partners.
“The meeting demonstrated a willingness to move from political statements to practical decisions. Russia must also take real steps towards peace. Work in Paris continues – a series of meetings and consultations are still ahead,” the NSDC secretary said.
He also recalled that 27 European countries, as well as partners from the Asia-Pacific region, took part in the work. NATO was represented by Secretary General Mark Rutte and Commander of Allied Joint Forces in Europe Alexus Grynkewich.
As reported by Ukrinform, following the meeting in Paris, the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing, Ukraine, and the United States signed a joint statement entitled “Reliable Security Guarantees for a Strong and Lasting Peace in Ukraine.”
