Zelensky: Issues of territories and ZNPP to be discussed with US delegation during Paris negotiations
The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Today, there was already the first report by Rustem Umerov on the work of the Ukrainian negotiating team in France. Another session of negotiations with representatives of the President of the United States will take place, and this is already the third session of such negotiations in two days. We expect that the most difficult issues from the basic framework for ending the war will be discussed, namely the issues regarding the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and territories," Zelensky said.
He also instructed the team to discuss possible formats for meetings at the leadership level between Ukraine, other European countries, and the United States.
The president noted that Ukraine is not hiding from the most difficult issues and will never be an obstacle to peace. “Peace must be dignified. And it depends on our partners whether they will ensure Russia's real willingness to end the war,” Zelensky emphasized.
According to him, Ukraine will be represented at the meetings by Rustem Umerov, Andriy Hnatov, Kyrylo Budanov, Serhiy Kyslytsia, Davyd Arakhamia, and Oleksandr Bevz.
As reported by Ukrinform, Volodymyr Zelensky revealed details of the 20 points of the draft basic document on ending the war between Ukraine, the US, Russia, and Europe. According to the President, the issues of territories and the operation of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remain unresolved in this plan.
