Zelensky on talks in Berlin: discussion difficult but productive
The head of state made this statement during his speech at the closing of the German-Ukrainian Economic Forum in Berlin, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“Yesterday and today, here in Berlin, we held consultations with the American side. (...) We always have such conversations, and they are not easy, to be honest, but the conversation was productive, with many, many details, and it is important that peace be dignified. This is important to us,” Zelensky said.
He stressed the need to meet and work to create dignified conditions for ending the war.
“There is an important word that we often focus on. Dignity is what stopped Russia. People in Ukraine are like that. And we will continue our diplomacy aimed at ending the war,” Zelensky assured.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks today in Berlin with an American delegation led by US Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
