Zelensky: Russia intensifies physical and psychological pressure to break Ukrainians

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia is increasing psychological and physical pressure on Ukrainians in an attempt to break their resilience.

He reported this during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Pressure on Ukraine, both political and military, will come from various directions. It is not limited to the battlefield; we also see an increase in missile and drone strikes. This pressure is serious, and it is not only psychological, but physical pressure on our population, aimed simply at breaking Ukrainians,” Zelensky said.

He noted that the war has changed — combat drones and missiles now inflict significantly more damage and in a more devastating manner.

“Today, there was a brutal missile strike on our city, on Dnipro. Unfortunately, there are fatalities; my condolences to the families and loved ones. This threat of strikes must be eliminated. Security control is also a major issue, and it must be addressed,” the President added.

He thanked France and other partners who are working on this issue within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing.

“We must also ensure that Russia does not perceive anything that could be interpreted as a reward for this war. War must not become a profitable enterprise, so that others do not wish to replicate such steps,” the President added.

As reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky stated that, thanks to active diplomacy, it is entirely realistic in the coming days to finalize the steps needed to determine how to end the war with dignity.
