U.S. Congress should join consideration of Ukraine peace plan – Senator Graham

Ukrinform
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham believes that the U.S. Congress should participate in reviewing the plan for achieving peace in Ukraine.

He wrote this on social network X, according to Ukrinform.

“The proposed Russia-Ukraine peace deal provides an opportunity to end the war honorably and justly,” Graham noted.

At the same time, he is confident that Congress should also have the ability to review the plan, which “includes any future security guarantees — just like we have the ability to review any Iran nuclear agreement.”

According to the senator, lasting peace in Ukraine must ensure that “Russia cannot launch another invasion in the future.” And consideration of the issue in Congress will “allow us to achieve that goal,” the politician stated.

As reported by Ukrinform, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that, during the coordination of the peace plan, U.S. proposals may incorporate several elements based on Ukraine’s vision, which is critically important to the national interests of the state.
